 It's a challenge. Kinda like Guyzerr and his hummingbirds. I got this shot a couple of years ago. I like that there's a horse in it too. :D

I would love the chance to shoot lightning. It never happens here. :mad

I like your shot. Mind if I fiddle with it a bit and repost?

I know you have your ass in the rack so I just went ahead and did it. :D It's easier to ask for forgiveness I always said. Forgive me? :24:

manual focus can be really hard at night - increase your aperture and you will have a much better chance of having a clear photo

it does decrease the amount of light you have in your photo, but you can find a balance between the two.

also if you need or wear glasses, manual focus may not be for you :)

For me it's not so much an aperture issue as it is an eyesight issue. Even with my contacts in I have a hard time determining if my camera is in focus, especially at night. It will usually be off just a little and I won't be able to tell until I look at the picture on my computer. I leave my camera on auto focus most of the time but I can't do that at night.

Oh, I see what you did there. Didn't like the hydro poles, eh? :p The second one is nice but I didn't take that picture. ;)
