Obama is the Antichrist?

Wasn't there something in the bible about the world ending when a leader of color takes power or something. Sorry it's a half-assed piece of information, I'm not well versed in scripture... my wife said something about it because she used to be in bible study or something.

Your taxes PAY for the schools and the teachers... that's why they are called public schools.

You would rather private schools that can teach anything they want, meaning no national standard of any sort?

My wife is a bookkeeper at an elementary school. Federal requirements make everyone jump through hoops to get their funding. No child left behind is a joke. If they only just funded and got out of the way instead of trying to control every facet.

Ya know, I love my country not because my president is white or black, but because no matter what color he is, who he is, or where he comes from, the principles and beliefs attributed to my country will always be the same to me, and no matter what color he is, or who he is, or what party he represents, or any of that... he's the president so he'll be an idiot no matter what, hahaha. People are putting too much power in him if they don't like him. He's doing what HE feels is best, and that's just not what everyone else thinks, which is what America was built on. Sad thing is, half the people yellin about him now actually voted for him hahaha, and then changed their minds.

that applies to a lot of publically elected leaders

I agree.

So you dont think being an active member of a Christian church is enough to call yourself a Christian then? What exactly does qualify you as a Christian these days?

Is he an active member of a Christian church? As I stated when asked his beliefs he meandered all over the place. He has stated before that he does not consider the U.S. to be a Christian nation. I believe that this country was established to a large extent on Christian principles.

I seem to remember at the time of the election the belief that he must be a Muslim terrorist because Obama sounds a bit like Osama.

you can understand the logic... :sarcasm

Just look at the number of idiots standing up and shouting "We want our country back!"

What the hell do you think they mean by that?

they think they've been taken over by islamic terrorists!

Hahaha. I think that in order to preserve the purity of the POLITICAL success of our country, the ideal president wouldn't be religious at all. Religion is renowned for clouding one's views on almost anything, marriage, friendship, politics, education, etc. I'm not religious though, in fact I consider it legal mind control... but the ideal president would be one with nothing controlling his thoughts and emotions but himself and his ability to make decisions logically.

This is another completely separate topic... but WE ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN NATION!

The founding fathers were VERY clear on their stand on the separation of church and state. This nation was founded so we can believe ANY religion that we wanted to without the government interfering. We were built on freedom of religion, not Christianity.

Sorry, I never realised that you had to think the USA is a Christian country to be a Christian. This Christianity lark gets harder and harder to understand, glad I'm well out of it.
P.S. I just spoke to my devoutly Christian wife and asked her if she thinks the USA is a Christian nation. She dosen't and was most surprised to learn that that means she actually isn't a Christian.
And there was me thinking that the definition of Christianity was believing in Christ!

Shame on you! hahahha.

They did not want an established religion. They made that very clear. The principles were Christian that were used to establish a lot of the early government. Freedom of religion I have no issue with as long as it doesn't break the law.

Why didn't he answer the question that way? He was all over the map when asked point blank his religious belief. My point was a Christian would answer much like you did. He has made the point about the U.S. not being a Christian nation mostly trying to appeal to non-christian leaders around the world. As I stated it is only my opinion he is not a Christian.

I can't even understand what the issue is about his religion anyway as long as it dosen't infringe upon politics. I thought the USA was all about freedom, including freedom of religion? Dosen't that apply to your leaders too?
