I just saw this hit. Ovechkin is a dirty, dirty hockey player. He pulls crap like this all the time and gets away with it because he's a star. What a load of crap. I hope someone knocks him into next week someday. :mad

I wonder what's going to happen in that game. If Cooke gets his head taken off, well while I hate that sort of thing, that will be expected. However, if they go after one of our "stars" so to speak just because, there will be blood! :mad
Bruins would be stupid if they did anything to anyone but Cooke. but now Savard is out for the season. I would be fine if they did nothing! playoffs are more important than revenge....you can get Cooke back by just fearing they may hit back...use it as a weapon...
That stupid hit aside, the Pens aren't known for being particularly physical though. Whenver they put that stupid hit stat up on the screen, the Pens are usually down by half...it's just not the style of play. To a point, it irritates me when they let teams bang all over them (ew...it's a family show). But by the same token, their system is working for them. Now if they could just get their act together on the power play...gah...abysmal.
But you're correct, playoffs are more important...and I did see that about Savard. That sucks but you really can't screw around with concussions.
