Aww, thanks.. Let's hope you're right. I certainly don't want her to be a doormat. So far, she isn't too easily swayed by others.... So far..

Like on computers. I was standing behind her one day this past summer when she didn't know it and I could read where one of her buddies was trying to get another buddies password out of her. She wouldn't budge. That's my girl!

Then again, she's only 11. The real stuff starts in high school.... But I hope we've set a solid foundation for her. Tho, my karma scares me.... :24:

You're welcome! You know I think you rock as a woman and a parent! :):) :)

Good on her! :) Way to go PBBB!! It's those moments, when we see a demonstration of good character, that we get a little affirmation that we might have done something right, although those glimmers come more often when they are little, before the hormonal surge and the accompanying blood letting! :24: I swear, you have to have nerves of kevlar to raise kids, especially teenagers!!

From what you've told me, PBBB is on a very firm foundation! :) I know, I know. Remembering my own foibles scared me too...:)

No shit....... But, let's hope she doesn't go through what I went through....... Already she has way more stability than I had. Except for the first 6mo's in Tampa, she's been through 1 elementary school where I had been through about 6. Her parents are together & happy. Mine split when I was 5 and it wasn't pretty. I'm still alive (KNOCK WOOD X3), mine died when I was 12. Yeah, much more stable.

By 14 I'd run away twice, been drunk numerous times, did drugs......... Hopefully she'll get into sports or something instead... At least w/my background I hope I'll be able to tell if she's into something she shouldn't be... My biggest worry is her getting all the way through HS w/out getting knocked up....... There's where she's gonna have a battle cuz I did wait there. (technically) I was 25. So........:willy_nilly:

My own history is very similar, lots of schools and an ugly divorce, but I never did end up running away. I had good fortune in that things became stable when I was 15. My stepdad was awesome!

My own kids have had an infinitely more stable life, for which I'm very happy. :) I think that is key to getting kids through the worst temptations, though it is no guarantee either.

It has come to my attention that some real estate has been vacated by members no longer here...... What to do about that? ;)

Nah, you don't want used property. I kicked em back to the sticks.

Feel free to make whatever kind of property you want and Welcome to the Neighborhood :)

I saw that. But if you want a house or business, feel free.....

Hey, I have a stable if you want to offer advice or want to visit. No expecting mares there ;)

Plus you could start your own if you are so inclined.
