I've been battered before. I don't find it offensive. Had he 'hit' me w/a skillet I'd have killed him while he slept... Being a battered woman gave me the courage to kick a man's ass when needed. Fortunately, I don't need that skill now....... Nor do I take offense to jokes about it. I'm a survivor. Not a victim.

Of course ya are doing something right! The idea of parenting is "planned obsolesence". We have be end up obsolete or we haven't done our job. It's jolting and jarring though as we hit those little landmarks and see it happening though, like a sock in the tummy sometimes.

I don't mind that she has a bit of a 'tude. It could serve her well in later years... Besides, it's usually around her 'time' of the month... All in all I give her a 10 in the kid department.

Aww, thanks.. Let's hope you're right. I certainly don't want her to be a doormat. So far, she isn't too easily swayed by others.... So far..

Like on computers. I was standing behind her one day this past summer when she didn't know it and I could read where one of her buddies was trying to get another buddies password out of her. She wouldn't budge. That's my girl!

Then again, she's only 11. The real stuff starts in high school.... But I hope we've set a solid foundation for her. Tho, my karma scares me.... :24:
