I recently found out about a procedure called " Out of Bounds " and have been giving it a whirl. They are very time consuming and difficult to do but can be a lot of fun.

This site OOB Tutorials by Serrator will allow you to download the tutorials. By using them you can follow along step by step. He will even allow you to download a few of his shots if you like.

These are the first few I have done. I also used my own shots for these.

I hope you enjoy them.

Wow - nice work. I'll check this out, looks interesting.

You an aviation fan/pilot by chance?
Thanks canidee. I'm glad you enjoyed them.

No I'm not a pilot but am a die hard aviation enthusiast and have been since I was a youngster. I've always looked up when I hear an aircraft. Can't help it.

Why not?

According to some great photographers at a different site I visit I got 'em all pretty right. That said... Everyone is entitled to an opinion,. Even you.

the whole point is to have the subject going into or out of a frame...where you've done that you've done it well...but there shouldn't be anything of the subject outside of that frame

i just cant get my head around it:D

Very cool, so am I.

Dad flew Navy and owned a 172 square tail. I grew up near an Air Force base and remember a wide variety of a/c flying there over the years. Can't miss any of the air shows either.

No offense but I beg to differ. Have you clicked the link I put in the original post. If not I suggest you do. It will show a wide variety of different outcomes. Some as I have done and some as you suggested. In the end there really isn't any firm rule to follow. It's whatever you want it to be.

i just cant get my head around it:D

Well gimme your head then and I'll make it fit. :jk

How come you didn't answer my question as to why you couldn't do it?

I really like the airplane one.

I can see Skyblues point about the wing tip not coming thru the other side but it does not detract.

If you say this is tedious then it is way beyond anything I could figure out on my own

That's pretty cool...LOVE the colors on the bee!!! If it's time consuming I'm sure I don't have the patience to do it...so I'm just gonna tell you good job and I'll continue to enjoy looking at yours. ;)

On a side note...I really think that critiques shouldn't be offered unless they're solicited. It may discourage some people from posting their photos due to a fear of "being judged." That's just my 2 cents, though, and definitely NOT a rule or guideline. I'm just saying.

Isn't the critisism being offered on a constructive level? I dont know too much about the technical side of photography but I haven't seen any thing really negative here.:dunno

Its better than plastic kiss arse comments anyway, well that's just my opinion.
