Now the government is lookin ginto the "Viability" of GM and Chrysler.
Show of hands, who thinks they will be government owned and operated by years end? Because or government has proven so efficient and ethical in regards to business practices.
And no surprise, ended last week on a good note in the markets, then Obama speaks about the economy again.....And we dive...I am beginning to think he's driving the markets down on purpose, eventually the government will have to take everyone over.

I woldn't give it past summer. Hell, Obama's the de facto chairman of the board now. On another board a Brit is screaming about British Leyland and how history is repeating itself. Apparently the UK took it over and (surprise surprise) couldn't get it back to profitablility and finally had to let it go under.
I have seen no talk in town about an outright take over by all the experts. But this is part of the plan to make things greener. In the end the fleets will be significantly different. In addition to smaller more gas efficient cars there will be less model changes. You can be the foreign companies not hamstrung will keep an advantage by being more flexible regarding their model changes and that means less sales.
