I love the back tracking on earmarks. First he says it was Bush's bill so he let it pass this time. Then he says ear marks to private entities are bad because they are ripe for corruption. But looks like if an earmark goes to a govt project it is ok.

What a friggin joke this guy is. I wish Hillary had won. At least the Clintons had some common sense when it came to the economy. Unlike this socialist asshat

This latest budget for 2010 he's trying to pass.....over 1,000 additional earmarks....My guess is these are the 1,000 that are left.....Hopefully there will be nobody else to payoff

Obama was handed a pile of shit by the former darl'n of the Repbulican Party. Yes it is Congress, yes there is compromise, yes 1% of the stimulus bill might not be stimulating. Does that mean it's not gonna work? Only time will tell.

Regarding the GM, personally I think they should be allowed to go down. Saving a dino is questionable strategy. Is it morally right and smart?

Your post implied that he came in to be president and - surprise surprise! - found the economy was shit. Obama knew what he was getting into. Now he seems to have decided to dig himself out of it, but digging only makes holes deeper.

This recession still isn't the worst since the depression, but he seems determined to make history.

Here's what is in the works as we speak:

A policy that will allow the federal government to control/regulate or otherwise manage the money lending system, seeing as how government does such a fine job managing everything else.

A policy that will allow the government to review and cap salaries on Wall St. and in the banking industry.

Oh and BTW, does anyone else think Geitner has no fucking clue? Show of hands.....

Before too long, we'll have 70% tax, interest on homes will be at 20% and we'll be at cap and trade....

Why won't you all admit that Geitner has not a fucking clue what he's doing, and recognize that China is pushing to move towards an "International currency" i.e. rid the world of the dollar, I guess they figure that we put no value in the dollar, why should the rest of the world.
