It was revealed by the girlfriend during the trial..that Martin had went to just outside his residence after he ran...then went back up to where zimmerman was.
At that point the roles changed and Zimmerman was the one being stalked.
As far as the other case you mention with the warning shot...its a messed up law..but pretty standard every where in most areas.
A warning shot is intimidation...rather than self defense.
She should have shot him to avoid the legal hassle.
Not that I agree fully as I do feel that a warning shot can have its place in certain situations.
