Your Nostalgic Song

Which song brings you back to a place where you were at peace and very happy? We all have that one song, or even a handful of them, that takes us right back to a place of happiness. Mine are REALLY corny, lol. Mine would be, "Breakfast at Tiffany's," because it reminds me of when I was young riding around in my dad's truck. Also, any hip hop from 2005 really brings me back to a carefree place, because I had just switched to a new high school that I loved and everyone there listened to a local rap station, so now every time I hear hip hop from that year it brings me back. What song or songs give you a feeling of nostalgia?

That would be Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John. It was a song being played on the radio almost every afternoon during my childhood days and it was the one I always hear before I take my nap. So whenever I hear that song now, I remember my childhood days especially those afternoon when the wind is blowing softly as it lulls me to sleep.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow sung by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz. I watched Wizard of Oz for the first time with my grandfather when I was about 5 years old, so the movie and especially this reminds me of him. I actually get very emotional at times when I hear the song. The last time I heard it, I cried. Other times, I look it up when I'm thinking of my grandfather and it makes me smile. I miss him...
