Alot of my family is into geneology (sp?) hardcore, so we have our family tree traced back quite a ways. To answer the question, Charles Dickens, the writer.

Re: RE: Your family trees

He's a really nice guy. He did Fright Nights at AstroWorld in Houston (it has closed its doors this past year) one year when I was much younger, and I rode a ride with him, then got to go watch him get into makeup and sat backstage while all the stuff was taking place. It was really an awesome thing to do as a child who was into gore!

As for the question, on my father's side, we have Santa Anna in the bloodline. My mother's side, we're related to the current governor of Texas, Rick Perry. My ex-husband's uncle is Clay Walker, the country music artist, and another uncle of his is politician Nick Lampson.

I think a lot of this has totally dampered my ability to be star struck. lol I like this thread you started, Haus! Great idea!!

Fay Wray (she is an actress and played on the 1933 king kong) and Casper the ghost. I know that shoulds strange, but I actually found the information and new reports stating that he haunted his own house for many years after his death.

Colenel Sanders is related to our family a few cousins ago. I don't really get a kick out of knowing 'famous' people tho - they are just another person. The people that really impress me are those like my grandfather who is highly decorated from WWII, and highly respected as a person. But I guess thats just me.

Let's see, in my direct line (maternal grandmother's), I have Kings Robert I (also known as Robert the Bruce), Robert II, and Robert III, Edward the Exile, Edward the Elder, Alfred the Great, William the Conqueror, plus various lords, earls, and sirs. There are a lot of ancient Scottish, Irish, and Frankish kings too but most of them are based on legends (and you wouldn't know them anyway).

Indirectly, I'm distantly related to FDR, Lewis Carroll, Ralph and Joseph Fiennes, George Washington, Julia Child, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Humphrey Bogart, Katherine Hepburn, George Bush, and the British royal family, among others.

Genealogy is a hobby of mine. I currently have 607 individuals in my tree and that's not even closed to being completed.

None that I know of...Oh, wait...

CHARLEMAGNE!

Well, in actuality, most pro. Geneologists believe that any person with European ancestry (don't ask me how) is, in some way, descended from him. Seems befitting for someone as important to all of history as him.

Considering if that isn't true, I'm not aware of me being related to anyone famous; although it is a good chance, as everyone is probably, in some way.

My grandmother and grandfather (mother's side) were Greek and German. Grandfather came over here after the Second World War, then went back. My father's family is Irish and Indian. Wonderful mix, eh? I'm a melting pot in human form.
