The GM took me aside today and said..."What do you want?":eek

She listened to EVERY suggestion I made.....and AGREED to it:eek

So..The Head Chef and I will run the Restaurant Operations and stock control. We will employ a full time restaurant supervisor...but we dont need a F and B manager.

I will do all the purchasing of food and alcohol, and organize the functions, groups bookings and weddings...including accommodation.

I'll get EVERY SUnday off...and Mondays...I'll work Saturdays....as they are the busiest...but if I need or want one off I can have it.

I WILL NOT be doing menus or food costing or budgets or rosters though....so thats one good thing.

and I wont be "Physically" working in the restaurant.

The restaurant is a shell, and we're meant to reopen this weekend.

The Head Chef...(you can probably relate to this Tang) has NEVER even been a sous chef before.

SHe is only 22 and only ever worked in one restaurant...but she is the GM's friends niece:willy_nilly:

AND...she already has an attitude problem.:mad and is ordering people in the FRONT OFFICE around.

:nod::nod::nod::willy_nilly: THATS what I'm worried about, and why I insisted on a Restaurant supervisor. ALL the actual restaurant running will be done by her. I will just work with her for wedding menus...group menus, and to order whatever she needs. (Because I already know all of the suppliers from my previous job). MY job is being the liaison with the groups..doing accomodation, activities and things like that.
