25) You don't accept beer that's anything less than ice-cold.
Spot on.

28) You know that the mullet didn't just happen in the 80s. It is alive and well in Spain.
Bwahaha

I can appreciate this thread for what your intent was. I think you are showing that all cultures realize they have stereotypical views that people believe are true for the majority. In some instances, there is some semblance of truth because the unique gene pool of one culture could make it more prone to certain behaviors.
There is a fine line between joking about a nationality and insulting one. We're never going to know what pushes another's buttons. The lesson that non-Americans can learn in this vastly mostly-American forum is that Americans are very proud. We know we have limitations, we have faults, we aren't perfect. But as Grace just recently hi-jacked a post of Amy's to bring home a point in a thread that has served to create an upheaval in what I see as a tight group of friends...(paraphrasing) "give us a chance, don't step on our toes, accentuate the good and tolerate the bad".

Exactly. Though I often said people are even more likely to be similar between different countries than in the same country. I am a citizen of the world and nacionalism doesn't go with me, people do.

I agree. I don't think I have ever said anything to offend any American, since I think everyone here knows I like Americans very much. I may disagree with the goverment (even of my own country) but that doesn't make me blind to the qualities the good people have. As I hope that people don't believe that those thing I listed in this thread are all true because I am full blood Spanish and I don't feel identify not even with half, lol. They are just funny as stereotypes, but generalizing them to all people in a Country, that only assholes do (this goes with all stereotypes)
