I fucked around with some friends when I was young. Driving some shit box cars around inside a forest. Mate slammed the back of my other mates car. Because I wasn't wearing a seat belt, I went through the windscreen, and landed on the boot of the car in front. Thankfully we weren't going too fast and I only ended up with cuts, bruises, and a slight concussion.

Either

A. cars in OZ aren't made to the same specs. with regards to windshields. as cars in the US are (vehicles manufacturers provide a windshield in cars that have a plastic sheet between the 2 pieces of glass .. to help prevent it shattering and falling out in a crash or to prevent someone going all the way through it in a low impact crash .. you can throw a brick at one and it'll usually not go all the way through or if it does it just makes a slight hole), or

B. Y'all were going WAY WAY WAY too fast.

yeah in tx if youre over 18 you have the option to not wear a helmet... kind of dumb if you ask me.
