Any gay couples are welcome at my church at anytime. And if anyone has a problem with it at my church, they can take it up with me.

If your church won't perform marriage ceremonies for gay couples then you probably won't have to worry about your members having a problem with gays attending. Most gay couples go to a church where they are accepted.

^^^This.

On a side note, I was wondering something the other day. When two gay people get married, how do they decide whose last name they keep or do they just keep their names as they are?

They could just keep their own surnames, pick the one they both feel more comfortable with or use them both.

Even in heterosexual marriages, the bride and groom can keep their own surname, the bride can take the husband's surname, the husband can take the bride's surname if he wants or they can use them both.

I suppose whichever one is giving up his own life and identity to become the "help meet" of his partner should give up his last name. ;)

Now as far as getting married by churches, every pastor priest has the right to deny anyone they think and not marry them. I know of a few pastors that have refused marriage to even non gay couples because they did not think they were ready for marriage.

Is your church Christian? If so, how does it justify defending people who the bible says god hates?
