These are some of the stupiest people- they hardly cover their tracks, asking questions about everyone, renting an apartment...did they NOT think that would look suspicious? I am sure they do..but as John points out...almost all of us go to public school.

One of the reasons being, rich daddy and/or other relative can pay expensive lawyer to get privately educated Johnny or Janie out of most charged crimes................., where us poor public school educated people may have to go for a public defender unless our crime garners some great publicity that will benefit a fancy lawyer.........:cool

FWIW, I do believe that public education has taken a huge step backwards in the U.S. in the last 20 years. We were taught to do math, not to depend on what a calculator told us. We were taught how to spell and how to use proper sentence structure. We were taught the History of the country and the world from the perspective of the difference makers. We were rewarded for success and taught to learn from our shortcomings. Our self-esteem was not priority one. We did not get a trophy for participating, those were reserved for winners. When we screwed up the punishment we received was warranted and what we got at home was far worse. Today, the parents will swear their child would never do wrong and threaten litigation at the drop of a hat.

Which brings me to this point....Back in the day it used to be the teacher saying "I will tell your parents"..that kinda made a kid change his attitude.
Now the kids say at home "I will tell my teacher on you"
It seems like discipline has been taken out of the cycle and the world revolves around the child.//While it generally may not be a problem I think we have the occasional child slip through that may have poor motive in the future.
I really cant complain to bad though as we do have some well mannered youngsters here...but if I go 50 miles down from me...lots of shootings etc.

Funny, I never heard my kids telling me they'd tell their teachers anything.

There are creative ways for punishment, just need to know what buttons to push and not let the kids push yours.

We keep in contact with the teachers and made it perfectly clear that we want to know if there are any discipline issues. It's all about communication.

TM, as far as the kids threatening to tell the teachers? I don't understand what you are saying.

My one boy was very surprised to find that I went to school to check on a story of his. He learned his lesson...so far lol
