Xenforo vs Vbulletin

So far I prefer Vbulletin. And I detest Tapatalk. Give me ForumRunner, dammit!

If it was completely up to me, I would not even use tapatalk at all. The forum works like a charm on mobile devices without the need of installing some third party app to access it.

Try going to your forums browser and heading to the site. It should look fine on your mobile device, while still hiding those who you ignore.

I think if the skin was a little different, I'd like it more.

Is XenForo not compatible with ForumRunner?

Yeah, I know...I just don't like doing it that way. Plus, last time I tried it the spacing was all wonky. I just prefer ForumRunner.

I actually may end up developing our own app that will ultimately replace Tapatalk. (I own both an apple and android dev account with all fees and payments already made) Any features you have in mind other then ignoring users?

I have to admit that I miss reps comments, but that's not really specific to the app, I guess. Being able to search treads easily is a biggie...and the ability to upload photos right from your phone.

Tapatalk has search and advanced search....and you can upload pics that are on your phone

Yes, but it still sucks.

To be honest when I tried forum runner. .I didnt use it long.
I do like using an app for a phone though..bigger fonts.
Alerts.
Three fast ways to check the latest threads.
All.
Particpated.
Unread.
Every thing is the right size and easy to click.

I have big hands and wear a size 13 boot

However it would suck on a pc ..due to reduced functions.

Definitely XenForo.
Feels and looks much smoother, and it's easier to use.
There's lots more reasons but I won't go into detail.

I have never owned a vBulletin forum, I have been using Xenforo for over a decade, first as a normal user, then as a staff and finally as a forum owner.

I believe that while vBulletin does come with a lot more at a cheaper price, Xenforo is better. vBulletin is older but it's gone downhill. In fact some of the devs who used to work on vBulletin now works on Xenforo! I currently have a vBulletin forum and it's great I like the software but Xenforo is better.
