Does it explain why Professor X is scottish in this one but very posh and English in the future?
James McAvoy is Scottish, but he clearly used an English accent in this movie, you can tell by the trailers if you listen.
Besides, Scottish accents are sexy.

Easily my favorite X-Men movie.
First Class is very Magneto-centric. It covers his origin story pretty well.
I know they were going to do one, but they might have cancelled it for this instead.
Last I heard it had been scrapped and parts of it were being put into First Class instead.
Aushcwitz was probably too sensitive material, and the films protagonist would be a child... I can see why hollywood ditched that idea in favour for this more mainstream effort.
I have yet to see a bad X-Men movie. This will be seen in the theater!

This isnt a spoiler in my opinion but I'll be very vague anyway. There is a cameo appearance in the middle of this movie, and it is the funniest part of the film.
If you like X-Men at all go see this film.

What was so bad about X2?
I don't remember specifically, I just recall not liking it very much.
This was a solid 9.5 out of 10. I loved it, the best X-Men film to date, and I want to see these characters again in a sequel.
I just watched one today with Wolverine, a couple of hot chicks and a bunch of really weak CGI.

Not to be the disagreeable contribution, but anyone disappointed in X-Men First Class besides me? Saw it today. I've seen all five X-Men movies. The first two were excellent, the third was ok. The Wolverine Origins movie was splendid reviving the series, but I can't help wonder what happened in this case. I've said all along that I've never been happy with the story liberties taken with the X-Men movies, but setting that aside, I've always thought the movies were excellent alternate realities until now. Without going into spoiler territory I'll stop here. It sucked!
