Where is the nearest clothes washer :ninja:24:Not even a little shimmy shake?![]()
Andy of Mayberry is on now! It's in black and white. What a SWEET show!! Does anybody remember watching this? I love Aunt Bee, Opie, Andy, Goober (is that his name??) and Barney Fife is my favorite.
It's so...wholesome.![]()
Sorry...I got distracted...I tried...![]()
What happened to my warm fuzzy happy thread?

NOW I'm HAPPY!
Okay now this thread can continue circling the drain.![]()
Not if I POP it back to the top!
There was a Goober as well as a Gomer. He was a mechanic with a silly hat. He was played by George Lindsey.
Oh and I loved the way some slick crook would show up thinking Andy was just some ole dumb hick sherriff and he would out fox 'em easy!![]()
Goober & Gomer were both from Alabama. George Lindsey used to have a celebrity golf tournament for charity every year in Montgomery.
I didn't know that Fred. Cool! I always found it hysterical that Jim Neighbors spoke like he did for comedic purposes, but sang in that beautiful voice. Tennesee Ernie Ford as well. WOW!!
*humming 16 Tons now*
Jim lives in Hawaii now and has for years. He does have a great voice.:thumbup
His line "Just a pea pickin' minute" always made me laugh. Some of the outtakes of Tennessee Ernie Ford's show are hilarious.
