Not that long ago, I was wondering when I'd start seeing cancer posts in my news feed on facebook. Everyone shares their dinners and every blink or breath they take, but nobody seems to be sick yet.. let alone sick with cancer. Not that I want to see it, but lets be honest; it's taking the world over, so I was expecting the posts to pop up soon.

And then they did.

I saw the first one a few months back. Such a tragedy. Pictures post chemo were enough to pull out my heart and stomp on it. A couple weeks later... another one. Even worse. Then another.. and yep, another. But it wasn't my friends... it was their children.

It seems nobody alive today can say cancer hasn't touched their lives in some way. I was assuming it would be a friend or family member and obviously, there's still a lot of time and with little answers, I still expect it. Maybe I'm next. But these innocent children,.. ugh.. it's so awful to witness and my very worst nightmare my friends are living. Having to watch your child fight for their lives, no knowing if they'll get the chance to grow up :(

What are your thoughts? Has cancer invaded your life in some way?

I had an Auntie who died because of breast cancer. It was painful to see if your love ones will be afflicted of that dreadful disease. I saw the times when she was helpless every time she felt pain because I always accompanied my mother when she visits her as an older sister. During her hard times all of us in the family had supported her physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially as well. After all we are a family and we need each other in times like that. The doctor said that cancer is hereditary that is why he told us to always have a physical examination to detect cancer in order to save life the early the better. Now I am afraid for my mother and now we always had her to have a check up to our family doctor and there is nothing wrong with it. Me too, I always had myself to be check because they said it is in the genes. Although I may say that I am scared when I always remembered my Auntie who died because of cancer, I just pray to God that I am surrendering my life to Him whatever it might bring to me. :)
