Wow, Matt is really pissing me off.

My buddy who's getting married keeps waiting to the last fucking minute to tell me things.

One monday we're talking and he says "can we borrow your truck to get a mattress?"

Sure, I'm driving it but I'll pick it up. So the next evening after work, I call him and he wants me to come over and hang out, ok I had a shitty day and I didn't want to hang out. So I say we're gonna get the mattress and I'm going home.

Then I ask him where the place was. He doesn't know. WTF?

So I look up directions and tell him how to get there. We go and pick it up, drop it off at his new apartment and I go home. He even admitted he could have planned it better.

Just now he texts me and says business casual for the rehearsal, no jeans.

WTF?

A. It's a fucking rehearsal.
B. You're going to fucking tell me this TWO DAYS before the rehearsal? I don't have/don't like khaki pants that are still decent looking.

So then I ask about khaki shorts, he says no... it's against the rules.

A. IT'S A FUCKING REHEARSAL.
B. Who's setting this fucked up rules for a wedding REHEARSAL?!?

ha... "our rules"... Meaning Lauras rules. She's gotta get out more.

I can understand the tux for a damn wedding, it's an event. But a fucking rehearsal has rules? Who's making up this stupid retarded bullshit?

dude...2 days before...not that big of a deal. Most people have a nicer pair of pants than jeans that they can wash in 2 days. I would be mad maybe if he called you 30 mins before and you had nothing else to wear...but 2 days is ample time...and this is the norm for a wedding rehearsal. Mine, i really didn't mind...but my wedding wasn't overly formal.

No this is typical matt bullshit. They've had these plans set in stone for almost 9 months now. I've been set to be a groomsman for 8 months now. If they're making up stupid ass rules as they go, they need to tell me before hand, it's coming up on the end of the month and I have some pretty nice sized bills within the next two weeks to pay and I wasn't planning on spending 20 on a pair of goddamn khakis.

I need to know what I need to bring with me because the church they're getting married at is almost 4 hours south of here and I'm tagging along with Greg and Kylene, aka I won't have a car to head off to Walmart in to get anything else that might pop up that I "need". I need to know this shit with a little more than 2 days in advance.

Is it just the practice at the church or are they going out to eat afterwards? I would bet the dress code is for whatever restaurant you're going to so the families can get together once more before the big day. Whatever you pay for the new pants, consider that the cost of whatever you eat. Eat a lot. I know you can do it. :)

Every rehearsal I've been to has been kinda of a "business casual" type dress. I understand that you could've used more notice, but this is "their day" and it's not the end of the world to accommodate them. Besides...apparently you need a new pair of khakis. You've been saying you want to find another job...a new pair of khakis will be perfect for job interviews. ;)

I'm spending money to go watch him throw his life away... He's already whipped and hasn't gotten any yet, I bet he's going to be bitching about her for a while.

Anyway, I don't care about getting the khakis, I think the rule is bullshit, but all I'm pissed about is the fact that they wait so long to bother to tell us.

Sounds like this guy already has a boat load of problems. I'm sure he could use a close understanding friend to help him carry on in this world.
