Other than getting us out of ongoing foreign wars, ending the Federal Reserve's control of our currency (a private bank) and legalizing weed, and maybe putting a weed up the Republican establishments ass, I do not see how RP is good for America. I can only see the oligarchy getting stronger if Pauls economic polices ever saw the light of day.

I really believe many well meaning people who support RP have not fully considered just how much worse their lives might be with a RP America. This is circulating around the net right now:

I haven't read the thread, just the opening post.
This is one issue that I do agree with you on.
As a society becomes more complex, all internal issues become more critical with even greater need for oversight and regulation to stop abuse. It's simple logic.
Paul may be truly an honest, moral and ethical individual, himself, but his political position is dependent upon the rest of society ( all ) following his lead.
They don't.
I could easily envision more abuse than Bush was credited for.

Your opening header could just have easily been structured......Would Ron Paul really be Worse than any Other Republican President?
If Congress let him, imo..... yes.

On that list.....does Paul really push creationism?

Ron Paul is absolutely not the status quo of the oligarchy.

With the exception of funding the military industrial complex's foriegn wars, he absolutely is. His tax structure and regulatory policy would widen the gap between rich and poor far wider than it is now.

He doesn't want a federal income tax at all, and I've addressed the other already. Had Paul been president there would have been no bailouts, and likely no corporate welfare.
