Well yeah you know that one really ruined it for all of them, didn't he?

Have you ever seen that movie? Did Meryl Streep not have the WORST Aussie accent ever??? I know it was meant to be Kiwi slash Aussie, but holy hell it was terrible. I don't know why people think she's good at accents.

I have NEVER heard a genuine aussie accent from someone who isnt one.

Apparently its the hardest to "do"

No, I never saw the movie, but I remember our (my friends and my) cathphrase for a while was

(in our BEST Meryl "Aussie" accent) "Thats not some OBJICT, that my babybi"

OBJICT became our new favourite word:24:

'A Suitable Boy' by Vikram Seth. It just went on... and on... and on... and on... without a single thing happening, but at the same time it had this weird hold over me so I felt compelled to finish the darn thing.

Hated just about every 'worthy' book I've ever attempted. (Homer's 'Odyssy' etc.) Can't stand Shakespeare, either.

Thats from a purely analytical side without even going into the offensive stuff in it. Chapter upon chapter of Adam begot Abel, Abel begot so and so ect is pretty crap. Dunno why they couldn't just put it in a chart to show the family tree like most History books do, would be a lot clearer and easier to read.

I want to say Twilight, except I spared myself the misery and didn't actually read it.

So I'm going to have to go with...anything by Jodi Picoult.

LOL - she sucks ass. Oprah man - can't leave anything alone.

I think I am just to popular to respond to everyone :cool you know how it is

WOW;)

The Bible, very poorly written.

I think it is fascinating - all the little hidden historical meanings of pulling blankets over your ankles and knowing people...good read until you get to the new testament.

The Grapes of Wrath.

aw man! this book was good in retrospect! His other one about the brothers....I forgot the name of it - but it is about two brother's named A something and C something - it is supposed to mimic the story of Cain and Abel VERY GOOD

I would have to say Stephen King and Michael Crichton wrote the worst books I read that I expected to be good. I have read some true crap, but I knew going in it wasn't going to be good.
