Crunches are always a good way to get rid of those extra pounds around your midsection. ;)

Crunches will strengthen your tummy muscles, but they won't lose the buldge. Running, or other cardio, is the best way to go. Also cut down on grains, starches, and refined sugar as they cause the most bloat.

Walking away from the fridge is where I need to start. :p

I had to come in to see what was recommended in here...I've gained far too much weight on vacation and need to get my belly under control...hard to believe how things change after 40, I remember when all I had to do was cut back for a day or 2 and my belly was nice and flat.

Seriously... grains. Drop 'em for a few days and stay on meat/veg. It'll cut your bloat way down. All grain is, is a filler. Might have some fiber in it, but nothing you can't get anywhere else and better from veggies.

Jezz is right about grains, for sure. Every time my weight loss stalls, all I have to do is cut my grains for 2 weeks and get a jumpstart.

Cardio is always a good idea for weight loss, obviously, but if you're just looking to shed a couple of pounds crunches can help firm your stomach, plus muscle burns fat. I've only recently started w/ crunches because the cardio wasn't helping w/ my stomach as much as I wanted it to. I can definitely see a difference.

In order to lose weight around my stomach, I've been alternating between running, walking, and jogging everyday. I'll walk a few miles, and while I'm doing so, I'll run or jog for a quarter mile, and then go back to walking again.

I'm about to start back on this, too, using the Couch to 5K program. I've been having knee issues lately, though, so I might have to wait.

I think best is some cardio workout at first before you do anything else ...you dont want to strengthen your tummy muscles like Jezzebelle said .... with walking push yourself to feel your hart fast until you feel not easy to talk but not to over do it .. how long to walk depands on your level of fitness.. if your are beginner on this... 30 to 40 minutes for start it is good.... keep this for about two weeks if get easy then go longer time and if get easy again can always try to go faster or walk longer .. but make sure to change the walking if you walk outside find a road that have hills too ... to make it different, and if you have somewhere stairs go there also ...

but later you will need to lift weights also because this lose more faster weight then walking and will tight your body faster..

Your stomach fat can be reduced with Crunches. I also did this practice and got 100 % results. This method reduced my wight in pounds and now i ma confidently telling you to adopt this method if you are serious with your health. It is better then cardio method. So I suggest all of you to do practice by this method...!
