I've pushed carts at walmart since august, three days a week, 8 hours a day, I weighed 285ish in August and now I weight 250ish.

Pretty damn good workout.

i'm around same age, 5'10, around 178

been lifting since i was 15, but got really into it for the last 6 months

4 days i weightlift, 1 cardio

im actually going to start doing cardio tomorrow morning, Im trying to work on my abs now.

I'm 5'11 and 185lbs. I don't really get tempted to hit the gym at all. I'm into running and am going to try for a half marathon in February. For me it's always been more about making sure I don't put weight on so running suits. When I go to the gym I put muscle on and it doesn't help me over distance.

Get some muscles and 6pack and u can still run marathons

Well every human body has musles. Even Fatty Arbuckle had those.

However, I'll just keep doing what I do and keep laughing at all those muscular, six packers finishing their 10k's in an hour and a half and wondering why they can't lug those frames they built for the Friday night out at the singles bar round a park ;)

I think you're at a cross purpose.

I have said that FOR ME, I don't need to do weights since I'm 185lbs and I put weight on doing that which is not good for long distance running.

Any discussion revolving gymnasts and if they have six packs is irrelevant to me

I used to work out, not at the gym though, I have an eliptical and my friend has a bow flex.

We were doing pretty good then I got pregnant and I haven't gone back to it yet lol maybe someday

I'm not sure about your pounds but i'm 5 8 and 12 stone . . whatever that is lol.

I try go gym at least 3 times a week on top of 2 rugby training sessions and 1 game a week usually. I havn't been the last week, uni got busy and i feel like shite which doesn't help! lol
