so, here at work they have decided to change the hours of operation in the place where I am working (tonight and tomorrow) my station was supposed to be open until 9:30pm now it is open until 11:30pm. When looking at the past few days of sales this is not warrented. Yesterday, for instance there were three sales (in addition to the one I had) and the clerk who took over for me yesterday had two and her last sale was at 8:30 (she was the lucky one because they told her that she could close at 9:30 because the hours didn't take affect until today) so, as I sit here and try to contemplate what the next 8 plus hours will bring.....ugh...feeling like Charlie Brown with Lucy holding the football.....

So, did the geniuses who made this change look at the data, or talk to the clerks before deciding on the new arrangements?
everyday the person(s) working in this area were supposed to forward all sales of the day and looking at the past week alone the average transaction count was 6. But no one in the actual working of the till was spoken to or asked to comment on this new hours of operation; so today and tomorrow I am the guinea pig for this.

Oh dear.There are better ways to engage with your stakeholders. Team members who are expected to make major changes work should expect to participate in the decision making process.
Well, there has been a decrease in any and all commuications from Boss man on down and people are looking at me as a keyolder to say something to him. I have never been given any authority on any matters and I have told people to talk to their team leaders because I too am on the outside looking in.....
