Aluminum. I always feel I going to say it wrong and I'm not sure about the spelling. I also hate the words nigger and cunt in any forms, but I have no trouble pronouncing or spelling them, more's the shame.

I realize this is hardly a contribution to the thread, but their is one word in particular that slips my mind, and whenever I say it, I get tongue twisted on it. It's not because I don't know how to properly pronounce it, it's just from point a (my brain) to point b (my mouth) something gets messed up, and I end up nearly stuttering. The word will come to me.

There's not a nice thing to call a mentally challenged, retarded, spastic, mongoloid, etc because they're words that have naturally negative connotations. And they're targets don't have the capacity to reclaim the word. Like homosexuals did with queer.

That's a good point. I have tried to stop myself from saying it specifically b/c I know it bothers V and I try to respect that. Usually when I slip up it's something like "that's retarded" or "I'm so retarded." But I really need to put more effort into not saying it...it's no better than the n-word.
