seriously, people make me so mad when they say this, no matter who they say it too. I know that whenever I say anything that isnt a proven fact, it is my opinion... you don't need to point it out when you disagree or feel insecure about your own preferences.

My Father says that when he calls on the phone to ask me a question. After I answer his question, he says, "Whatever," (or "Well, whatever"), and then goes on to something else or just hangs up. What a doofus!

Upstate, as in upstate New York.

They're the only state that calls it that. Anywhere else it'd be "North Wherever" or "Northern Wherever", but they have to say upstate. Why???
