Women's purses

This happened to me just last night. I was at my sister's house and I asked her for a piece of gum. She said it is in my purse go get it. I told her she knows damn well I wouldn't even go into any womans purse including my mom's. She insisted that she had nothing to hide. I then proceeded to tell her that isn't the case. I feel my wallet is my personal belonging as a purse is a woman's personal belonging and the only person who should be going through it is that individual. Needless to say I didn't get my gum lol.
 
My husband and a select few girl friends are the only ones allowed in my purse. I'd have issues with my brother going in there. Not because there's anything to hide in there (aside from maybe the occasional tampon) but because it's just weird. It's kind of like my underwear drawer. And yes, I feel incredibly violated when I go somewhere and there's an unexpected bag search.
 
My boyfriend is exactly the same, he won't go in my bag unless he can see what he wants sticking out the top :p

I wouldn't want anyone else going through my bag though. I'm very at ease with him, whereas the thought of anyone else going through my receipts, tampons and various wrappers is a bit unnerving. It's personal.
 
I don't like anyone going and look at my bag ..there is nothing to hide just feel personal and like to keep for myself

now my sister in-law she will go there if have to with out asking so i make sure i don't leave my bag anywhere she can see

actually she does not care ..with anything example once when my mother in-law came over she pic some letter from the letter box while coming in the house and leave it there and said i brought this inside
it was 2.. and on my husband name anyway i said leave it there as i dont open when it is not on my name same my husband if it is not on his ..so my sister inlaw just grab them and start to open .. you dont want to hear what happen after :D

anyway i knew what was there from the outside of the letter nothing special but she is rude like this
i hate people that think they can do anything
 
i dont care who looks or digs in my purse. all thats in there is my wallet, chapstick, a couple of pens and the digital camera. (dont understand all the junk people keep in their purse! :willy_nilly:)

but i wont dig in anyone elses. even if they tell me, i still wont
 
I don't care if my hubby goes thru my purse, but I wouldn't want anyone else in there. Strange, never thought about it before but I guess I do treat it as something private. I would also rather give a purse to somebody than dig thru it for something.
 
My purse is an extension of my back pocket sort of. A huge wallet. No one goes in my purse. No one!

I would allow hubby to.... but he absolutely refuses to. He'll bring the purse to me if he wants/needs something I've got in there for him.

The only time he'll ever go into my purse is if I am driving and need my sunglasses.... an antacid.... chapstick..... or other lifesaving item. :D

.... and then if it isn't right in plain view, I've got to give detailed directions.... like.... Unzip the main compartment..... now look at the very back inside little zipped compartment and unzip it.... reach in and it's on the left....
 
I havent got anything to hide either but I must say I did find it a little uncomfortable when my hubby just went digging in there one day. Hes got no issue about it, when he wants something, especially money lol he will just go grab it out of my wallet. I do feel weird about going in others purses though too, Ill bring my mom hers if she wants me to grab something out. I dont understand why we all feel this way though its not like we are digging in someones underwear drawer like someone else said lol
