Ok so when I worked for my dad, one of the secretaries told me she was going to set me up with her daughter. But her daughter was still in high school which I didn't want to work around at the time.

So she went out with my friend mark, that didn't work out. Then she graduated. We talked for a bit... then she went to college. Now she's back for summer break and is working at BP. I see her every now and then and I started to get really interested in her. She just seemed to like me as a friend I guess. One night she asked to come over and we sat around and talked until 4 am. (and I had to be to work at 11:30... but I didn't care.)

Well suddenly out of nowhere this girl starts getting infatuated with Sam (the guy from my driving story earlier) and would start waiting for him outside my dads office at 5 to talk to him. wtf?

Sam wants nothing to do with her... as per this text:

But I WANT SOMETHING TO DO WITH HER, and she damn near ignores me half of the time. She doesn't call anymore, she just waits for me to show up at BP to get something to drink and we talk for a few minutes but then she gets busy with customers.

Sam doesn't want her. He flat out told me he doesn't. He was on the deck at the office checking for her truck before he left today. He doesn't go to BP anymore because he doesn't want to talk to her. I know this is a little bit psycho on HER part, but she's hot and I think our personalities click better than anything I've ever felt.

I don't know why I have a hard time finding good women. Hell even she said this:

Does she really think that? Or does she say that because I've had bouts with depression? I don't get why girls can't see the forest through the trees and realize that the grass is greener over here.

but seriously... without flat out telling her this do you think she'll ever get clued in? Somehow when she was over and we talked we never got to anything really important. Just her job here and there, college and the whatnot.

But she tells mark "no sex until marriage" then tells sam she had sex a few times at college.

... I don't know what to think really... is she really worth the trouble? Or should I just continue to try to get Sarah to hang out with me since I no longer get a daily dose of her awesome personality anymore?

It's real simple. You lay on your best charm. If she's not interested in you in a relationship/sex kind of way, move on. I don't mean stop being friends, I mean just don't worry about her in a "hooking up" way anymore. She doesn't sound interested in you, but you will come across a girls that is. If you get hung up and waist your time on this girls, you might miss the real thing.
That doesn't mean you can't invite her out to lunch or what ever, just don't bog yourself down. If she gets interested later, then great, but just don't count on it and you'll be much happier.

We hadn't even met the first time. Her mom just told me that she should hook us up and I declined.

You guys aren't listening to me. I don't want a one night stand. I don't want to lay pipe every time a girl is at my apartment. I want a long lasting relationship in which the only things I will ask for are honesty and faithfulness.

I know that isn't what she wants, but I don't go begging and I don't want to change the subject TO that out of the blue. In my experiences that makes it seem like I'm being too hasty which throws everything off anyway.

I don't care about sex. It just isn't important to me right now at this point in my life. BUT, in my defense of the night she came over... this was after being told that she wanted to remain a virgin until she was married. This new information of college changing her mind hadn't come until this past week. I was playing off the information that I had available at the time.

Well Bro. You did read the other thread that Mrs Behavin started about what a girl says and what she means are 2 different things. It's really tuff to really know what a women wants. And in your case, she isn't quite a women yet. At least not mature in the relationship sense. I think She's more into the chase and the sexual games and coyness that a girl uses to attract guys. Honestly, I think that's true, but a lot of times it's a phase. I know I've dated my fair share of assholes, for sure. I dated one guy in HS who broke up with me for my friend, one who was always in trouble, and one who beat the shit out of me all the time (we were together 2 years)

But, now that I've grown older, I've discovered that there are really great guys out there, and most of the time they're in the least expected places. I think it's a phase she's going through, as she is still relatively young, and she'll realize sooner or later that guys like that are a waste of time.
