I think that this is an amazing observation but I don't think that it rings all that true if we look at modern humans, for comparison. From my observations, men are more gadget oriented & therefore more likely to pick up new things, but it may be that watching women use the sticks for gathering, that they were adapted for hunting.

I do think that both sexes needed to work together to get anywhere & that tools were adapted for many different purposes.
