A London artist has kept every text message she has received since 1999 - and is publishing them all in a book. Tracey Moberly, 47, has collected almost 100,000 texts since accidentally deleting her first 12 years ago and vowing never to lose another.

I don't know about publishing them in a book.

Either they're very interesting texts, in which case I can see the people who sent or received them not being happy about them being published, or they're boring as hell in which case why would anyone want to read them?

Yeah, I'm with HK, why would anyone be interested in a book full of texts from and about people you don't even know?

Exactly... if this book sells more than 10 copies worldwide I'll be very very suprised. The people who buy this book will need help I can assure you :p

Lame.
My boyfriend and I have kept every PM/email we have ever sent but it's because he's a bit paranoid about how immigration will go lol. Certainly wouldn't publish them lol. Who cares?

How about privacy rights for those people or family & friends whose texts she plans to publish? :ninja

I doubt they will use the actual names of the people, unless they agree'd to be mention! Will probably be like "Person 1" ... "Person X"

I don't know that you have any expectation of privacy when you send communications across airwaves like that. Could be wrong...but I don't know.

Is it bad that I thought to myself that 100k wasn't necessarily a lot of texts for a 12 year period? :24:

LOL...nope, I'd bet a lot of us thought the same thing. Then again, if she's *ahem* smart *ahem* enough to come up w/ the idea of publishing these texts she probably doesn't have all that many friends, LMFAO
