Well I have the loan. I'm gonna go get everything set after 2:30, however the dumb woman behind the counter didn't bother listening to me. I asked for a 5 year to drop my payments over 100 dollars. She set it up for a 3 year so "i could get it paid off faster". I don't want to pay it off faster, I wanted the loan for the LEAST AMOUNT OF MONTHLY PAYMENTS.

Then I couldn't get the full amount I asked for, nearly 600 less than what I wanted. So now I have to find a way to get 155 to pay back National City and their insane overdraft charges. Sometimes I hate banks, but at least I got the loan. I should have just gotten a personal loan instead of a consolidation loan. But I mean, comon... how are you going to tell me that paying it back in less time is better for me than paying less each month? Paying less each month is the purpose for the damn loan in the first place.

I wish I was capable of thinking like you regarding the monthly payments. I've been looking at house morgtages and can not help but look at the big picture and how much interest I will be paying in the long run if I went with a lower monthly payment. It is depresing, but some times it just has to be done.

I've been looking at house mortgages myself. What it all comes down to is what is the lowest monthly payment I can get with the interest rates, because with mortgages the payments will fluxuate with the interest and I can't afford to start out at a 600 dollar monthly payment plan for fear of things going up and down. I need something cheap that I can afford at first and when the ball gets rolling I can adjust my monthly expenditures to cover any influxes. But with this, the thing that makes me mad is the fact that I wasn't listened to and the only reason she did it the way she did it was because of repayment time as far as I could tell.

You are the customer, don't sign the loan agreement at 36 months and have them write it up for the 60 month term like you asked for. It's your choice, just because she wrote it up for 36 months, that doesn't mean you have to sign the loan agreement.
You are the customer.

I'm going to ask if there is a valid reason I didn't get it the way I wanted. If it's something to do with only being able to approve the loan that way I'll sign it, but I'm asking first.

ha... yeah right. :) But yeah I talked about the length of the term and it's something I can afford so I went a head with it.

The Thing about getting a motgage, Is why waste getting a flexible rate just because you can get in at lower rates, Get a fixed rate, and rates are still relativly low right now, but with the sellers market thats on right now, they will soon be expected to start rising soon.

you get in at a fixed rate, hold it for a year, then you re-finance out of state, and include a a equity loan with the re-financing, lower your rates and get the extra to pay off ay debt you re-built in that first year. :D

But if your in a buyers market, you should be able to get an even better rate,

Past two years have been awesome for mortgage and construction companies here. Houses going up left and right.

Hell there's a housing addition just east of here where my aunt/uncle just built a house. Within a year every lot was taken.
