okay a couple hours ago I got my windows sidebar to appear after I had to restart my computer (again -_-) and then a few minutes later I had to restart it AGAIN and the sidebar doesn't appear....why? how come sometimes it appears (which is not as often) and sometimes it doesn't? At least I know it isn't gone forever...I try using other ways to get it back, but it doesn't work. I just have to hope that when I have to restart it again, it will appear and I don't have to restart it again!!

i found this on the web, doesn't hurt to try it and the person who posted it, a number of people said this method worked

1. Right click on Command Prompt and click Run as Administrator
2. CD to C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar ( cd drive letter:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar )
3. Run these commands in this order:
1. regsvr32 -u sbdrop.dll
2. regsvr32 -u wlsrvc.dll
3. regsvr32 atl.dll
4. regsvr32 sbdrop.dll
5. regsvr32 wlsrvc.dll

Sidebar did not appear any more

Good post. If many people said this worked, I would try it.
One of things I generally try not just for sidebar or any app not appearing or slowly appearing minutes later is, trying disabling some of other apps on msconfig and see if something is causing a prob. You can also try task manager and end task for the side bar and restart it.
it's plainly named "sidebar.exe" end it and then to restart goto start, run or just "Superkey+R" and type "sidebar.exe" without the quotes ofcourse and click OK

alright you might have to reformat your computer because system restore didn't work and your computer is showing more and more signs that there is something wrong.... even if you find a virus on your computer with a virus scanner, the scanner wont remove the virus completely and the trojan, bug or w/e it is will duplicate. Honestly from hearing all the problems your computer is having, reformatting it would be the best option.

Guys if im wrong, call me out now because reformatting is a real pain the ass, if you dont know what you are doing you can really screw up your computer even more

Just out of curiosity, not to be rude or anything but...
Are you in trouble or something? If your father's computer expert you could have just asked him
but you spent all this time trying to find an answer here.
