I like Bartoli, too, I always have a soft spot for out of shape tennis players. No malice or pun intended lol, it's just always amazing to watch someone who isn't in shape keep up with someone who is.

How the heck is she number 1 in the world? Never won a grand slam and only ever got to a final once, she's never even got to the QFs at Wimbledon before.

I'm not too sure, I do find it odd...it has a lot to do with those small tournament wins in between grand slams. The Williamses don't play anything but grand slams, they sometimes fall pretty far in the rankings but they win 6-7 titles a piece...
Shes only 20 years old, doubt shes enter many times... I know she won the Wimbledon Juniors... Not sure how shes rank number 1

This is her 6th year playing in the full womens tournament.
Shes won something like 18 singles titles, and she's only 20. So she's obviously pretty good.
By the way I've only ever seen her play 3-times... 3rd time being today. Can't really judge her.
First two times I seen her she was awesome... Today she started well then faded.
