This compared with the previous record of 30,421 Xbox 360s sold in the [...]

no but we are on our 2nd 360 due to the overheating. After our last one overheated adn had the blinking red light of death, we took it back and exchanged it...now we keep the new one on top of the entertainment center, instead of in the glass cabinets...which im sure didnt hurt the first one overheating

Well, yep. Me and my fellow Nintendo fanboys are estatic. We're not surprised however. Raw Power isn't the priority of a gaming system. The amount of fun is the priority.

Now, I just have to get my hands on one for myself. They're sold out everywhere. I'll probably be able to finally get one after New Years Day. Until then, no wiigasms :(

Looks like Nintendo released a good console this time around. I'm glad this console wasn't as much of a dissapointment as the horiffic GameCube lunchbox thingy-ma-jiggy.

Popular magazines all over are giving the Wii the top rating by far of the 3 new systems. Give it a few more months and I bet Wii will out sell them all.

If that ends up being the case, note that the Wii is $150 and $250 cheaper than it's two competitors base system prices. It's almost impossible not to sell more systems than Microsoft and Sony both in the coming years for Nintendo.

Actually, in the US, the Wii is going for 250$. Still, the lower price is definently playing a factor in the great sales.

Yes, I know it's $250, and that means this.

Xbox 360 - $399
Nintendo Wii - $250

20 GB Playstation 3 - $499
Nintendo Wii - $250

The Xbox and Playstation prices are for the standard system. That makes them roughly $150 and $250 more expensive than the Wii. If we went with the Xbox 360 20GB and the 60GB Plastation 3, those figures move to $250 and $350 more than the Wii.

I thought I made this clear in my post before this one?

You may have made it clear, but your information is wrong. The core xbox 360 is $299, not $399.
