All males in Switzerland are requiredto go through basic military training?? Really I did not know that..
Its so they learn to keep the big mouths shut about all the nazi gold underground.

That's a brilliant system. We also have mandatory conscription, but if someone attacks you, and you shoot, or even just punch him, you'll get fined or go to jail. Basically you have the choice of defending yourself, and get punished, or hope the attacker doesn't kill you. Everything is done to protect criminals.
The reason why Switzerland has a low crime rate is because everybody is neutral.

You can argue the opposite way too. An unarmed society has less violent crime rates.

Switzerland DOES NOT have the lowest crime rate in the world. Granted, crime in Switzerland is low, but certainly not the 'lowest'.
Also, I caught a glaring inaccuracy in the description of the video.
The Police and other organisations DO actually record gun related crime statistics in Switzerland, for example, in 2002, 64 homicides were firearm related, which represents about 31.5% of all homicides (n=213).
