actually it's hugely fucking my reputation, i don't want to have a thread talking about WW2 or something, so please remove it before i start getting craploads of red blocks in my rep, or you know what i'll delete my post and write something else in it's place

As someone who is colour blind I can attest to the difficulty in telling some colours apart.

And Natasha is completely right- The Holocaust Museum in DC is an amazing source of knowledge. There's items that were recovered from concentration camps, and it's hard to not realize the tragedy of the situation when you look at someone shoes and realize a living human being used to walk around in them to run errands, and that they were killed for something so trivial as not fitting into some "ideal" that some asshole decided was the way everyone needed to be. Never mind the fact the he didn't fall into that category himself.

and that guy was'nt gay, he had the best country in all europe:nod: and by the way, if japan was an oppressive regime then why did evrey single japanese warrior went to defend his homeland, his honour and his country...... look at those kamikazes, undertrained pilots flying biplanes and old bombers in a desprate bid to save their country and honour and their emperor, and the very last navy units, the battleship yamato, light cruiser yahagi, a small bunch of destrooyers, PT boats and small vessels, amphobious boats turned into defensive armament by putting AA guns on them, and they went out to face 11 USN carriers, the US fleet cowars out and sens some 400 planes in a taskforce, to sink the battleship, which went down after taking 15+ bombs and 11 torpedos and the cruiser yahagi taking at the very least 7 torpedos and 12 bombs, the destroyer Isokaze attempted to pick up some survivors but it got hit by an intense attack and sank shortly after, taking down 98% of it's crew.
yamato steering around and turning to avoid incoming torpedos and bombs.
the cruiser yahagi under heavy attack, it's dead on the water and the US pilots are screwing up and most of their bombs just don't hit.
do you even know what those men down there in that battleship are feeling? the battleship is on fire, the explosion next to it is a bomb missed it's target.
a curtiss helldiver bomber attacking the yamato, yamato is in the left, a destroyer is on the right
the last seconds of the yamato, it has been hit by more then 10 bombs and 10 torpedos, it caughts fire and explodes in the horizon.
it has been reported that US fighters have been machinegunning survivors floationg in the water, you call that liberation?

there were German soldiers there on the day i visited, they had conscription on Germany back then, not sure if they still do (this was early80s) i can tell you those kids in uniform were made to go there

A couple of things.....
#1 I'm not a mod but I'm smart enough to know this thread isn't about the Japanese and what they did in the war or any other time. How about staying on topic. Good members and more especially " members in the making " do that in case you didn't know.
#2 How is it possible that your English has sharpened up so much since you signed up a couple of days ago. I much rather it go back to the way it was initially. At least then I have a reason not to read your posts... which btw I don't ever finish.
