Studies show many women feel most stressed when partners are present but disengaged. Unequal chores and childcare create emotional and mental strain, not just physical fatigue. This imbalance affects relationship harmony. How should couples divide responsibilities? Is communication enough, or do habits and expectations need deeper change?

To maintain relationship, you need to practice equal involvement. If you both work, you both need to do house hold chores equally. When you are physically exhausted because you are doing more household labor, you might also be mentally stressed out.

Unequal household labor increases stress because it creates imbalance, resentment, and feelings of being undervalued. When one partner carries more responsibility, it affects emotional wellbeing and time. Lack of communication and fairness can strain trust, leading to ongoing conflict and reduced relationship satisfaction.
