Why do we see so many sêx leaks on social media today?

I've been noticing a lot of funny trends lately and one of them is how often sêx tapes are leaked on social media sites. Some of the leaks are posted by the person or her friends. It's mostly ladies leaks that's rampant.

Why are they doing this? Could it be for fame?
