As far as I can tell there are two reasons why people fall for scams:

Lack of knowledge: They don’t research or ask questions.

Greed: They want quick success with little effort.

If a person falls on either of these two, they are likely to get scammed. If you want to avoid scams:

Be skeptical of “too good to be true” offers.

Educate yourself about the basics of online safety and investment.

People get scammed online due to lack of awareness, urgency tactics, emotional manipulation, or trusting fake websites. I almost fell for one disguised as tech support.

People get scammed online due to a mix of trust, urgency, and deception. Scammers often use emotional triggers, like fear, love, or opportunity, to push quick decisions. I’ve noticed many fall for scams because of fake websites, too-good-to-be-true deals, or impersonated accounts. A lack of digital awareness and strong emotions often cloud judgment.

People get scammed online simply because they are greedy. They want to make much money from efforts that are not commensurate. That's one aspect. Another aspect is people not taking sufficient precautions to protect themselves from online scams.

Because they don't take a second to check out real reviews on other sources and because they blindly trust without questioning anything, this is generally why but absolutely no one is impossible to scam, we can all be scammed perfectly at some point, you never know.

Desperation and scam..When faced with financial difficulties or a desire for quick financial gains, people become more vulnerable to scams promising easy money

I totally agree, when people are in financial trouble they don't do enough research, they just look at profits, they don't evaluate whether it is doable or not.
