Many times as a kid. Then we got electricity and a toaster.

I had purple ones. Those things could put an eye out!

The original clackers were indeed dangerous. I know of at least one broke arm from them plus the things shattering or coming apart.

Oh my yes. Had several at the same time. Used to buy and sell bikes after fixing them when I was 10-13 years old. Then I moved up to a 10 speed with the racing handlebars.
