Barack is better than McCain/Palin. Too bad the agenda is still the same....

Perhaps one day people will be ready for Ron Paul's message of returning to Freedom & Liberty. But I seriously doubt it. Once good thing about Ron's campaign is it showed all those talking heads for the Corporate Gatekeepers they are. Which some of us knew already.

Don't regret it one bit. I think everyone is so quick to judge when the man hasn't even been in office for a year. He's got a lot of work to do to try and clean up many years of damage. He's trying. He may not be doing it the way everyone wants to, but he's trying.

For most people who hold a leadership position in a non-profit organization, the average amount of time before seeing positive change/impact on that organization is 5 years. A President leads/manages an entire country within a 4 year term limit. So to ask that question before he's even been through year one is a bit presumptuous.

Despite the fact he wasn't ever a viable candidate, I'm completely satisfied to throw away my vote on someone I believe in. I'd rather it that way than to pick from the lesser of two evils.

Participating in the democratic process is never a throw away or a waste. If fewer people were apathetic about it (voter apathy is appalling in this country) those seemingly non-viable candidates wouldn't be so. So, kudos for voting for who you felt was the best candidate. :thumbup

One does not need more time to have a clear understanding of what this guy is like. It has nothing to do with whether he is doing a good job or not. It is the path he is paving which is the issue. And that project is shovel ready with the blueprint very clear to see. Based on the polls it would be a much closer election were his true colors known. Not that some of us were blinded by the media hype for the guy.

My vote for Barack was a vote against McCain. :thumbup imho, this past election was too important to throw a vote away on an impossibility.

I would've picked McCain over Obama until the whole Palin thing, but neither one of them deserved my vote.

you not a Ciizen then? Wil you take dual citizenship, I would

I can apply since this year, but I'd rather pay off my school/car/house loans and wait for my green card to expire then think about renewing it or applying for citizenship. And I'll automatically get dual cit.

First of all, polls are kind of a waste because they are broadstroke generalizations...second, if you're actually taking stock in them then check out some of the numbers...The Republicans aren't exactly winning people over.

Yeah, I don't think the republicans are winning people over so much as people becoming jaded with the whole system.

I am not passing judgment on the republicans in general. Just the presidency in particular. I would have preferred Ron Paul over anybody. Sadly the media decided he was not their darling. I guarantee you if he had any charisma he would have cleaned up. People did not vote for Obama but rather against the republicans. We are a centrist country and not as liberal as the democrats think. You may not like the polls but the polls on Obama are really fairly targeted and I believe are accurate. Getting a poll from Kos though probably is not that reliable. :D

Rasmussen is a pretty good indicator and these numbers are not very good news if you are the president.

Given the fact it was anticipated the congress would be heavily democrat I never would have voted for Obama. Same with if the republicans were in charge. Having one party with all that power is a bad idea as there are no checks and balances.
