You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. *smh*

Because woman was deceived by the devil and committed the transgression they must submit to man and redeem themselves through the pain childbirth... per the Bible. You're being willfully blind, which is your choice, but it's pretty clear in Timothy.

But it isn't saying that just because they are women that they are LESS moral than what GIA is saying

Plus there could another reason why the teaching to Timothy was told by Paul (not written by Timothy)

Men made the Abrahamic religions, and they unanimously agree men are more moral. Of course, reality and religion are not usual acquaintances, so...I take it for what it's worth.

You see it in Catholicism (women can't handle the demands of priesthood), but mostly in fundamental Islam (he raped you because you enticed him).

agreed however what you have done here is opened a door for excuses the Catholics will point to Islam and vice versa and meanwhile women are ignored

The last two statements make me laugh, most if not all of the women who are Catholics don't want to be priests or bishops, there is nothing in the Koran which suggests that what a woman wears is asking to be raped....silly, preposterous and totally inaccurate

And where is your source, from your backside? I have never even heard one woman want to be a priest. If you can come to point some out, please do so

I just wonder how many want to become priests

Why are you arguing that women don't want to become priests? How would you even know that? Unless you've spoken to every Catholic woman in every country.........which I doubt. And what would the reason be for them not wanting to becomes priests be, in your opinion?

I did say most, second, all I care is that they don't want to become priests is because most of them think it is their moral duty to be in the home. There is no brainwashing by the church to stay at home, they have an active part in the Church, be it in the choir, or being a layperson in the church

Are you kidding me? What century are you living in? There's plenty of women Vicars in the Protestant religion, which is almost the same religion as Catholicism, that alone would tell me women would be interested.

There are a lot of people who don't think that women should be priests, they have A RIGHT TO AN OPINION WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT, and since you have long left they Church, why the heck should this bother you?

It bothers me for a number of reasons, 1 because I live in a primarily Catholic country so the religion is all around me, 2 because both my kids go to catholic schools (not much choice in this matter as any non denominational schools are too far away) and 3 because I am a woman and feel that women have always been treated unfairly in the church and I, as a woman, have every right to voice my opinion on that.

OK cut through the BS here

Straight question - Do you think women should be able to become priests? If not, why not? I want to know your opinion

This is not the point whether you come from a Catholic country, whether your kids go to a Catholic school or whether you have been unfairly treated by the Church, that has nothing to do with Christ has it?

And Satin, will you pipe down your neg remarks, just because you don't want to understand things its not my problem
