Hello all, just out of my curiosity I would like to know which search engine do most people feel is felicitous. I personally use Google for almost all my searches because I find it very convenient and easy to find source. I hardly find any difficulty in using it as there is something or the other information readily available in it which can also be used for our future reference. Google keeps a track of many listings which can be selected as per our own requirement and fetch the information from it. We can also find relevant images for our topic on search exactly, but need to select from hundreds of images under the selected category which undoubtedly is a test for our patience.
Now guys it's your turn. Which search engine do you think is the best?

I use Google by default, but lately I have been using Bing. Microsoft ran some commercials promoting Bing a few months ago. I decided to give Bing a try. Bing does give very relevant results that stand up to Google's results. The best part is that I'm not deluged with ads. I now use Bing for 50% of my searches.

I use google like, I assume, most of you do. I've never really tried anything else like bing or yahoo, but so far I've never had any reason to. Besides, in Chrome that would mean actually having to go to he bing/ yahoo website, while for google I can just type something in the address bar.

Well, I prefer Google, because I get concise and fast information about what I'm looking for. But many people are turning away from Google, because the issue of privacy is a big thing for them. A healthy alternative to Google would be DuckDuckGo, because their whole philosophy is based on that they don't track you and your activities on the Internet.

I use almost only Duck Duck Go. I know for sure I won't be spied on. I use google only on my phone when I need quick check and at work.
It's a really good quality search engine and doesn't sell you to corporations, also still looks good when you use java script blocker.

Personally, I just use Google. I don't worry about my safety so much since I don't really do anything wrong, on top of that all I really search for is for stuff related to school so I'm not interesting enough to spy on. I've used Google since I was really young and I really like it. Bing is okay too, but Google loads much quicker. Also, Google's image search customizations are really great, searching for transparent images is a blessing for doing PPTs.

I use Google despite the fact that they track pretty much everything about your searches. But I use Duckduckgo by putting "!g" at the end of a search

I tend to use Google most of the time because it's easy and convenient. Right in the URL bar in Chrome, and right up at the top in Firefox.

Google is fine for me. I set it as my default search engine for my address bar, so whatever I type in that is not a URL will end up being searched on Google. It's easy to use and convenient; lots of people use it and it's one of the most mature search engines on the internet.

Although, there are times where I would use DuckDuckGo if I really don't want Google tracking everything I search.

The obvious answer here has got to be Google because I use Google Chrome. Also, I like Google because it is fast and reliable with the search results. Nevertheless, I've also been using Bing lately because of its integration with the Windows 8.1's search function. I like it, although I would always prefer Google.

Like others have said, I pretty much use Google only. I use Chrome so it's way easier to search in the address bar than to actually go to yahoo or bing. Besides, I like the way Google is set up and I'm too used to it to try anything else.

Google here as well. Been using it as long I've been on the internet and it seems to be the best at finding what you're actually looking for.

There're other search engines, but really though, everyone's going to answer Google with a few exceptions anyway.

Well, here's one new answer: Duck Duck Go.
It seems pretty interesting, though I doubt it's going to become more well known easily.

This is my opinion too as I take most use of Google for this purpose. I'd to present many PPTs which almost became a part of my regular schooling and also for some other technical purposes. In this regard I thank Google always as I find relevant information in a very short span of time and gets our work a step easier.

I don't think many will be surprised to discover I'm plumping for Google as well, but as someone who runs a network or sites and blogs I do make a pint of paying attention to Bing, Yahoo, and some of the smaller search engines as there are many people who prefer these search engines instead of Google.

Well, I have seen few opinions saying Bing also gives equivalent results to Google in its searches, etc. Would you mind justifying this by giving a small footnote of few benefits offered by it other than Google, if any? I used Bing once long back and I was not satisfied with its results that time. After seeing your views as mentioned above I feel like trying it once again for my searches. Do you really suggest Bing for searches regarding presentations and seminar purposes?

I mainly use Google. It just seems to have the most tools and the best searches in my opinion. Sometimes I use Bing but I find that Google returns the most results. Bing still seems to not be up to having all that Google offers. At least I have not seen it in my case.
