Where would you prefer to live: Mountain or Ocean?

I got asked this recently.

Where would you prefer to live, by the Ocean or, near/on a Mountain?

They're both so beautiful, I love the sound of the ocean lapping against the shore, but I also love the magnificent, breathtaking views of mountains!

Where would you prefer??

Tough question. That is usually our discussion for vacation. I love seafood and the salty smell of the sea. Not a fan of sand & sunburns. Mountains are nice but even there temperatures can swing dramatically. I am not able to hike as well as I could when I was younger.

I would love to live on a large boat in the ocean. I love the sounds of waves and seagulls and the ocean air is easy to breath. I am really scared of sharks so I would be very cautious around the edges of the boat. I also don't get sea sick strangely enough.

I would live by the ocean, but not on a boat. The ocean is more interesting with lots of fish swimming around and the option to fish for food. There isn't much choice in the mountain unless you graze your own sheep. This assumes a nice sea with white sandy beaches - not one of those stormy rocky seas.

I have always loved the ocean and the seas. I was in the Navy and I can't Think of a better place to live than off the ocean.

Mountains, hands down.

Ocean you have water issues, but bigger yet is that everything rusts a lot quicker.

While the mountains are pretty, there is no doubt about it for me...the ocean, hands down. Being near the ocean is my heaven on earth.

sounds nice until a big storms comes along and the ocean enters you house. Then after it takes years for the insurance company to get some money, I'd be asking myself , was it worth it ?

I would choose this way, I would choose a place by the ocean with the great mountain around. That way, both side can be enjoyed! I am absolutely sure that you can find places like this, so problem solved!

Definitely the ocean. I am not good in snow, which seems to go hand in hand with mountains.:cool

I like both, but for me it's the ocean. I lived right by the beach, and it was great to go for a swim before or after work. I miss that.

I would much rather live by a ocean. I have always wanted to live by ocean's and sorts, because it seems so peaceful. I would love to live by a ocean, it would be a dream home.

I don't. I see someone with more money than they know what to do with or they're really stupid lol

Let's build or buy a house really close to water and hope the water NEVER rises lol
