hows it hanging there Lumpy :)

any more horror stories about having a child you want me to relay? :D

Nah! I just had to go to the emergency ward today coz of a bum ticker. They almost had to reboot it but a few shots of some magic potions got the rythm back on track and slowed down. I'm cool now.

Let me explain something to you dipshit. You now are responsible for bringing another life into the world. One who, until he/she wises up, will think that the world revolves around you and that you are smartest thing put on this Earth. This person will be dependent upon you for everything, you, therefore, have a responsibility to be around to perform the duties that you have created. Melissa, while missing you for a minute or two, would bounce back and find a man who deserves her ;) should you kick off. Your child does not have the luxury, I suggest that you start on a heath regime that addresses the heart issue. And none of that bullshit Canadian (I'll see you in three months bullshit) medicine, cross the border and see a specialist.
(Steps down from soapbox and winks at Melissa.)

Thanks for the concern. I don't need no stinkin' overpriced Yankee medical help I would have to pay multi-millions for out of my pocket. I have a date with a local cardio clinic this week coming.

I wasn't even scared today. I just took it all in stride and got really pissed off when Melissa told me my work didn't even inform her where I was. :mad I'm fucking furious at that one and Come Monday when I go back to work I want answers!

Great, second rate medical doctors taking a look at you. But at least you will saved that money when you're dead. ;)

In all seriousness, it isn't just you anymore or just you and Melissa. You've got to think long term health wise and otherwise. Now is time to start the planning and the first thing in any plan is to be there to implement it. And yes I butting into your business but I like your wife, I want her happy even if it means being with a crusty former Harley rider.

I hear you dude. She is a sweetheart; her and the new incoming are my world right now. Not to worry. I will take care of myself and not leave them high and dry. :)

And you are a pain in the fucking ass! What are you, my mother or wife? I hope the fuck not coz I already have one of each!

But seriously dude, I'm a realist. I have always been digustingly healthy and this has been a wakeup call. I will behave at the cardio clinic next week and do everything I'm told. I will hate it, bitch and whine but will do anything necessary to make sure my lovely wife and soon to be wonderful child have a healthy, useful man in the house.

Now get the fuck out of my face! :p

A post in another thread inspired me to start this thread.

Where would you like to go, imagining that time and money were no constraints? Where wouldn't you like to go and why?

I would love to go to France for all the wonderful scenery, history, food and wine! Also England, Ireland and Scotland, my ancestral homelands. Maybe Australia and some other European countries including Italy and Greece.

I have no desire to go to Asia; there is nothing there, aside from some historically interesting cites and sites, that interest me. All I ever see is the third world squalor and near-stone age conditions. There is also the nearly lack of civilized law and order to offer any safety.

What is on and off your itinerary?

The two places I'd like to go to most are Cuba and Iceland.

Why would you want to go to Cuba?
Why not? It a popular destination for Canadian travelers. I you probably would object for political reasons and that's ok but we don't have any such constraints. There are many places I would not go because of political reasons.

Why would you want to go to Cuba?

Cuba has some great resorts now, limited to foreigners of course.

Iceland would be a nice visit as well. I'd like to see the infrastructure they have developed to create energy sources from the naturally occurring hot springs..........I also hear their woman are hot. :D ;)

I'd like to go there because I have some (somewhat distant) relavtives living there. My grandparents used to visit there often. I'd like to visit Spain, England, Scotland, Germany, Kenya, really anywhere, especially if I have family from there.

I dislike the idead of manufactured tourist beach resorts and have never been to one. My idea of travelling is to see not only the land but the people themselves in everyday guise, not dressed up in monkey suits and phoney smiles just to please the rich North Americans.

I would love to land in Paris, rent a small car then tour the Burgundian vinyards. to sample the wines straight out of the cellars of the producers and sample the local food could only be heaven on Earth.

Translation: I've never had the money to go first class so I'm 50 plus years old and still using youth hostels.

Nice try but you'll never get near them, access is tightly control. You'll have to the tour that all the tourists get.
