V actually took over my Sergeant's position when I moved to Mass. Then she later got a position as a training officer, which has her super busy. She's fairly active on FB still, though.

I'm actually one of those "as long as we're happy, I don't really NEED us to be married" type of girls. I love him and I want to be with him, but I'm trying to take things slow. I will never pressure him into moving in together or marriage. If and when the time comes, it comes.

Right now, when I visit, it's all about us. Living together, life gets in the way. Even though I think I'm ready to move to Florida, a part of me doesn't want to change the dynamics of our relationship.

Besides, I just signed a year lease on the new place. LOL

We have both said that we want to spend our future together. Right now we are focusing on building our retirements. I already have mine started, but he does not as he's a manual laborer. He wants us to look at buying and flipping a house sometime in the next year and renting it out. His end goal is to build us a house in El Salvador, where he's from, and to become the patriarch of his family. His two sisters already run the family farm in El Salvador.

I want to travel the world and live in different places. For what you'd spend on a small 2 bedroom in Georgia, you could build a mansion in El Salvador. But it will be years before we get there. For now we'll just be working towards that goal. We're going to be having a serious talk later today about how we're going to progress.

Well we've got the "no money" part, LOL I've used every penny of the savings I had since moving to Massachusetts to fix my car after the wreck and to move in and furnish this apartment.

I'm working a shit ton of OT right now, hoping to build my savings back up. After paying rent and a couple of bills, I've got less than $50 in the bank to last me until payday. Thankfully that's Wednesday.

Well, I *had* less than $50. I finally deposited my rolled up change today, so that gave me $115 on top of that. So yay for change!
