All the very best pottery - plates, cups, figurines etc. used to be made here, but most of it's gone now. Factories closed and production shipped abroad to places like Indonesia!!!
You can, however, still tell if someone comes from the Potteries, cus when we're in a restaurant (or even someones house) we tend to pick up a plate and look at the backstamp to see where it was made!!!!
