When was the last time you felt truly happy?

I have the occasional moments when I feel happy, but those are just fleeting..
I don't remember when was the last time I felt truly happy..It's been a very, very long time... I would say many years, but I try not to dwell on it and don't show it..
Even if my heart is breaking in a million pieces, I keep it all in.. I try to stay positive and smile when I'm with others..
I want people to feel good when they are with me, I don't like to bring them down, just because I'm down..

A few weeks ago. I went down this dead end road and found a white rose bush at the end. It wash my ideal weather too, cloudy and windy, minutes away from storming, and high 60's.

There is a huge difference between being grateful for what you have and being happy in your life. I am supremely grateful that I have a family that loves and supports me no matter what, and I'm happy that I am able to get up every morning.


However, it's been quite some time since I've been absolutely happy. For the last few years there's always been one thing or another hanging over my head that hinders me from being really and truly happy. =(

The last time I truly felt happy was when I met "her". She changed my life completely and saved my life to be quite honest. She bought me my very first ice cream cone. Chocolate with sprinkles which dripped all over my white shirt that day. I felt so embarrassed, but as always she could merely made things better. She put some on her own shirt and said we were now matching. I wish things were different nowadays.
